Privacy

This site is one person’s project. It doesn’t sell anything, show ads, or sell or share information about you. Here is everything it collects, and why.

When you visit

Visitor counts (Plausible). The site counts visits with Plausible, which sets no cookies and collects no personal data. It records which page was viewed, how the visit arrived (a search engine, a link, a typed address), the country, and the type of device and browser. No visitor is identified, and nothing follows you to other sites. The counting script is served from this site’s own address.

Hosting. The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web server, it receives the standard information every browser sends with a request (your IP address, browser type and the page asked for) and keeps short-lived logs for security and traffic.

Typefaces and code. The pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts and a few code libraries from public code servers (unpkg and cdnjs). Your browser fetches these directly, so those services receive the same standard request information.

Settings kept in your browser. The site remembers a few display choices in your browser’s local storage: light or dark mode, the colour palette, and the last teaching you opened on the Map. They stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them.

What you send

The Signal suggestion form. If you suggest a work for The Signal, the form sends what you type: the work, who made it, what kind of work it is, the teaching you hear in it, why, and, only if you choose, a name to credit. It doesn’t ask for your email. Submissions are stored by Netlify and read by the site’s author, sometimes with the help of an AI assistant, as with the rest of this site’s work. Nothing is published automatically. If a suggestion becomes a reading, a credit appears only if you gave a name.

Field tests. Some pages ask you to rate passages for a study. Your answers, the time you took and one question about how you lean are sent and stored by Netlify. Nothing identifies you: there’s no name, no email and no account. The results are published only as totals and as an anonymous data file. Your browser remembers that you’ve taken a test, so it isn’t counted twice.

Email. If you write to imanantibody@outlook.com, your message and address are kept only so you can be answered, and are never added to any list.

What the site doesn’t do

There are no ads, no accounts and no mailing list. The site doesn’t build profiles of visitors, and it doesn’t sell or share information about you with anyone.

Your choices

Children

The site isn’t directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If anything here changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top moves with it.
